An embedded creative team inside McKinsey, partner-grade, accountable, and sized to flex from steady-state production into spike work without renegotiating each time.

McKinsey's communications work is global, sophisticated, and high-stakes, and the volume of it keeps rising. Internal capacity is stretched. The surrounding network of project-based agencies makes it harder to hold consistency, speed, and discretion in line as the work scales.

The gap is a single creative team that operates like an internal one. Partner-level discretion. McKinsey-grade craft. Elastic enough to absorb steady-state production and surge projects without a new procurement cycle each time.

The working hypothesis is an embedded SketchDeck team accountable to McKinsey leadership, with the broader SketchDeck agency on call behind it. This hub is the shared space for testing that hypothesis, together, toward a July kickoff.

A working hypothesis

Exact model TBD as of 5/4/26. The shape we expect is an embedded core team with the full SketchDeck agency on call behind it, at preferred rates.

What's most likely under the proposal:

  • An embedded creative team of ~3 full-time creative resources + 1 program director, accountable to McKinsey leadership.
  • The full SketchDeck agency bench, ~200 creative specialists across disciplines, on call for spike projects and surge work.
  • Agency work delivered to McKinsey at preferred rates ($100 per credit).

The working hypothesis above will firm up after the resourcing workshop in Phase 2 of the evaluation plan.
